Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a piston with which the number of processes is small without developing axial dislocation of a spherical part, and a working time can be shortened and also, a material loss and consumed tools can be reduced.
SOLUTION: This method for producing the piston is composed of a forging process for forming a hollow cylindrical body 2 closed at an one end part, from a solid material 1 with cold-forging, and a rolling-forming process for forming a spherical shell part at the one end part of the hollow cylindrical body 2 with the form rolling.
