A wire 5 of round section is subjected to a base plating of copper and an outer layer plating of tin, and formed into a plated wire 9 of deformed section, i.e., of square section using a rolling stock 8 having two sets of reducing rolls pairs 6, 6, 7 and 7 facing each other in an orthogonal manner, and cut to an appropriate length to manufacture the plate pin terminal 10 of deformed section.
