Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate having excellent adhesiveness between a polarizing film and a protective film.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a polarizing plate comprises bonding a protective film formed of a thermoplastic resin to at least one surface of a polarizing film in which iodine or a dichroic dye is adsorbed and oriented in a polyvinyl alcohol resin film, by use of a UV-curable adhesive. The method includes: a step (a) of bringing the protective film into contact with water; a step (b) of forming an adhesive layer comprising a UV-curable adhesive on at least one film selected from the protective film after the process (a) or a polarizing film; a step (c) of laminating the protective film and the polarizing film with the adhesive layer interposed therebetween to obtain a laminate film; and a step (d) of irradiating the laminate film with UV rays to cure the adhesive layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
