Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyimide film whereby, in the case of using an imidation catalyst for improving the productivity of a polyimide film, the improvement in the handling of an organic solvent solution of polyamic acid and the reduction of a heat treatment temperature required for imidation are made consistent.SOLUTION: Provided is the method where polyamic acid is heat-treated and is imidated to produce a polyimide film made of a polyimide layer(s) of a single layer or laminated plural layers, when the polyamic acid is imidated to form at least one layer of the polyimide layer(s), aminomethyl phenylboronic acid is used as an imidation catalyst. It is preferable that: (a) the aminomethyl phenylboronic acid has a phenylboronic acid skeleton; (b) a method group having a ternary amino group is directly coupled to the phenylboronic acid skeleton; and (c) the ternary amino group is the one obtained by coupling a 4 to 8C cyclic saturated hydrocarbon group or a 1 to 10C noncyclic saturated hydrocarbon group to a nitrogen atom.SELECTED DRAWING: None
