To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative object which can obtain a required feeling of thickness by preventing a potting liquid from flowing.

The method for manufacturing the potting decorative object comprises the step of coating a main face of a masking sheet 2 with a resin stopping agent 3 incompatible with a potting resin liquid, the step of sticking a separate sheet 1 on the other main face of the masking sheet, the step of punching the masking sheet 4 coated with the resin stopping agent into a shape corresponding to an aimed potting shape, the step of releasing the separate sheet 1 of the masking sheet 7 thus obtained and sticking the masking sheet on one main face of a raw material 8 being the decorative object, the step of peeling the punched part 5a of the masking sheet, the step of dropping the potting resin liquid 9 on the punched part 5a and uring it, and the step of peeling the remaining part 5b of the masking sheet.
