Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a pre-edging lens and an edging lens in which a cell gap of a liquid crystal lens structure can be maintained substantially without a spacer on an inner side of the edging lens.

The manufacturing method provides a pre-edging lens (100", 100') and an edging lens including a first transparent base plate (110), a second transparent base plate (120), a first sealant (140) in which no spacer is arranged, a liquid crystal layer (130) sealed among the first and the second transparent base plates and the first sealant, and a second sealant (141) disposed on an external side of the first sealant between the first and the second transparent base plates. In the second sealant, a spacer (145) is arranged at a position to be removed after edging.
