Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a pressed article having a desired shape while inhibiting a wrinkle and a break.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a pressed article comprises a disposing step, a third area constraining step, a first area pushing step, and a second area processing step. In the disposing step, a blank 10 including a first area 11, a second area 12, and a third area 13 is disposed in a press apparatus. The first area includes a portion to be an end 15 of a stretching flange portion. In the third area constraining step, a pad 4 and a punch 3 are caused to approach each other after the disposing step, thus the third area 13 is constrained by the pad 4 and the punch 3 with a gap between the blank 10 and the pad 4. In the first area pushing step, a die 2 and the punch 3 are caused to approach each other after the third area constraining step, and the die 2 and the first area 11 are brought in contact with each other, thus pushing the first area 11 toward the punch 3 by the die 2. In the second area processing step, the punch 3 and the second area 12 are brought in contact with each other, and the die 2 and the second area 12 are brought in contact with each other, thus processing the second area 12 by the punch 3 and the die 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
