PURPOSE: To form a pattern being transferred generally on a three-dimensional surface of a transfer medium.

CONSTITUTION: A transfer medium 4, is placed on a support stand 1. The transfer medium 4, is sequentially covered by a transfer material 5 and a flexible sheet 6, of which peripheries are then secured to sheet fixing portions 3. Air is sucked through suction ports 2 formed on a top surface of the support stand 1 to deform the flexible sheet 6, and air existing between the transfer material 5 and the flexible sheet 6 or between the transfer material 5 and the transfer medium 4, is also sucked and exhausted by ventilation 8 through fine holes in the transfer material 5. The flexible sheet 6 is caused to conform to the three-dimensional surface of the transfer medium 4 with the transfer material 5 therebetween, and the transfer material 5 is heated by the flexible sheet 6 to be adhered to the transfer medium 4. A base film of the transfer material 5 is peeled off the transfer medium 4, to obtain a product 7 made by forming a transfer layer being transferred generally on the three-dimensional surface of the transfer medium 4.
