To provide a manufacturing method for a spectacles lens which has a prescription surface optimized considering individual wearing conditions.
Prescription values comprising data related to the VR value of each spectacles wearer and other information necessary for designing and manufacturing the spectacles lens, are sent via a terminal installed at a spectacles store (purchaser side) to a host computer installed at a spectacles manufacturer (manufacturer side), these pieces of information are processed by the host computer to determine a lens shape optimized on the basis of an optical model under simulated wearing conditions, and to determine processing conditions. The spectacles lens is manufactured by numerically-controlled working machines and an edger, and is delivered to the orderer's side.
