Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing protein fiber having an irregular-shaped section using a coagulant liquid containing water or an aqueous solution.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a protein fiber having an irregular-shaped section includes a step of bringing a spinning dope containing protein and an organic solvent into contact with a coagulant liquid and coagulating the protein, in which the content of the protein in the spinning dope is more than 10 mass% based on the total amount of the spinning dope, and the coagulant liquid contains water or an aqueous solution of pH 0.25 or higher and pH 10.00 or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: None
