Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an artificial skin that has a satisfactory strength and a natural and uniform color and that exhibits a long-term attachment capability. A method for producing an artificial skin comprising a gel that has an interpenetrating network structure, the method comprising: (A) a step of forming a first network structure by polymerizing and crosslinking (a1) a first monomer; and (B) a step of forming a second network structure in the first network structure by introducing (b1) a second monomer into the first network structure and then polymerizing and optionally crosslinking the (b1) second monomer, the method being characterized in that, in the step (A), a powder and a thickener are contained in a polymerization solvent and the content of the (a1) first monomer is 0.5 to 3 mol/L in the polymerization solvent.
