To provide a method for manufacturing a pulley for a clutch, by which method, a pulley having a required shape can be easily worked, and a working time can be shortened, and further its manufacturing cost can be reduced.
In the method for manufacturing the pulley for the clutch, the pulley for the clutch is manufactured by working a circular flat steel plate. A cup shape body 10 is composed of an outer cylindrical portion 10A, an inner cylindrical portion 10B, and a bottom portion (a connecting portion) 10C connecting the outer cylindrical portion 10A and the inner cylindrical portion 10B, and is set between metallic dies 30A, 30B having required shapes. The outer cylindrical portion 10A and the inner cylindrical portion 10B are concentric, and have different diameters. A part 33 of the metallic die is gradually or stepwise pushed in toward the bottom portion 10C connecting the outer cylindrical portion 10A and the inner cylindrical portion 10B of the cup shape body 10 so as to thicken a part of the inner cylindrical portion 10B and the bottom portion 10C.
