Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for efficiently manufacturing a pulley constituted by integrally forming flange parts with excellent strength, at a rim part to be wound with a belt.
SOLUTION: In the integrally rotated state of a preform 22 of bottomed tapered cylinder shape with a rim part forming part 52 of a first mold 38 and a second mold 40, a molding roller 98 is pressed to a tapered cylinder part 28 of the preform 22 to clamp the tapered cylinder part 28 between the outer peripheral surface of the molding roller 98, first and second outer surface forming faces 64, 68 and the rim part forming part 52 while making the tapered cylinder part 28 abut, at both end parts, against first and second regulating faces 66, 70 for regulating the expansion of the tapered cylinder part 28 toward a center axis. The height direction intermediate part of the tapered cylinder part 28 is thereby compressed to be thickened and formed into cylindrical shape corresponding to the rim forming part 52 to form a rim part 14, while both end parts of the tapered cylinder part 28 are formed into shape corresponding to the first and second outer surface forming faces 64, 68 to form flange parts 18, 20.
