To provide a method of manufacturing a radial needle bearing cage, using manufacturing facilities inexpensively constructed to be superior in durability for efficient manufacturing work while improving the yield of a material to reduce manufacturing cost.
Progressive pressing work is applied bending and punching to a metal plate 30 in sequence. The metal plate is formed into a fourth intermediate raw material 41 through a first intermediate raw material 34, a second intermediate raw material 37, and a third intermediate raw material 38. The fourth intermediate raw material 41 is separated at its connection portion 32 from another portion to form a unit intermediate raw material 17a which has a length equivalent to one cage. The unit intermediate raw material 17a is rounded into a cylindrical shape and then its circumferential ends are welded to each other to form the radial needle bearing cage.
