Abstract:
To provide a readily water-soluble sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na) relatively simple in preparation and having no limitation in usage.
A method for manufacturing a readily water-soluble CMC-Na comprises the following steps: a lower alcohol is added to a powdery CMC-Na, in an amount of 10-50 wt.% based on the CMC-Na to wet it; subsequently, water is further added; and the resultant mixture is dried. Further, a method for manufacturing a readily water-soluble CMC-Na in which the amount of water compounded is 10-50 wt.% based on the CMC-Na.
