Abstract:
To highly accurately cut an arbitrary cutting portion at an arbitrary cutting depth according to a drawing object.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a roll mold includes: a signal generation step of generating gradation signals expressing a drawing object according to an arrangement and depths of multiple cutting holes; a generation step of determining roll cutting portions corresponding to the arrangement of the multiple cutting holes indicated by the gradation signals, on the basis of signals outputted from a rotary encoder or a scale, and generating a control waveform for reciprocating a cutting blade at the determined cutting portions in a radial direction of the roll; and a cutting step of reciprocating the cutting blade in the radial direction of the roll, according to the control waveform, and moving a cutting tool stage in the radial direction of the roll, so that a cutting process is carried out for cutting the determined cutting portions once or multiple times using the cutting blade. In the cutting step, the cutting tool stage is moved so that the cutting depths at the cutting portions corresponding to the multiple cutting holes respectively result in a respective depth of the multiple cutting holes indicated by the gradation signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
