To provide a manufacturing method capable of stably manufacturing a roller bearing having high axial load loading capacity and the roller bearing having high axial load loading capacity of which variation is small.
This cylindrical roller bearing is provided with an inner ring 1 having a collar 3, an outer ring having a collar, and a plurality of rollers 2. Cross sections of chamfered parts 2c of the rollers 2 when the rollers 2 are broken along flat faces along the axial directions of the rollers 2 have linear shapes. A method of manufacturing the rollers 2 includes: a rough processing process to obtain roughly processed rollers by applying wire to header processing to form shapes approximately the same as those of the rollers 2; a rough finishing process to obtain roughly finished rollers by applying the outer peripheral faces and end faces of the roughly processed rollers to grinding processing; and a super finishing process to apply the outer peripheral faces of the roughly finished rollers to super finishing processing. In the rough processing process, the roughly processed rollers of which chamfered parts have linear-shaped cross sections and in which angles θ between the outer peripheral faces and the chamfered parts are ≥119° and ≤150°are manufactured.
