Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a rotor core provided, on the opposite inner surface at a claw, with steps engaging with a permanent magnet only by a forging technology.
SOLUTION: A material of a specified volume is formed by hot forging into a rough product having a plurality of claws 4a making an angle of 70° with respect to the extended lower surface of a coupling plate 3a. Forging burrs occurring at the outer circumferential edge of the coupling plate 3a an on the opposite sides of the claw 4a are removed by punching. Subsequently, it is cooled gradually and steps 4a1 engaging with a permanent are formed on the opposite inner surfaces of the claw 4a. Thereafter, the shaft hole at the central boss 2a of the rough product is punched by means of an upper die and, at the same time. the claw 4a is bent while being squeezed and stretched by the outer circumferential part of the upper die until an angle of 90° is made with respect to the coupling plate 3a. The steps on the opposite inner surfaces of claw 4a are thereby pressed against the shaping step of a lower die and shaped, and the rough product is pressed thus obtaining a product having precise specified dimensions.
