To provide a method of manufacturing a rubber hose capable of forming two or more reinforcing cord layers by winding a band-shaped ply precisely.
The method comprises passing a ply 8 between tip rolls 17a and 17b and guiding the ply 8 to an inside-surface unvulcanized rubber 13 around a mandrel 11, moving the mandrel 11 to one side, while causing to rotate, so that the ply 8 is caught by the tip roll 17a, thereby inclined to one side and wound spirally around the inside-wall unvulcanized rubber 13 in order to form a reinforcing cord layer 6a, moving the mandrel 11 to the other side, while causing to rotate in the same direction, so that the ply 8 is caught by the tip roll 17b, thereby inclined to the other side and wound spirally in order to form an outer reinforcing cord layer 6b, forming two or more reinforcing cord layers 6a to 6d continuously through a desired number of times of winding of the ply 8, forming an outside-surface unvulcanized rubber and vulcanizing and molding the inside- and outside-surface unvulcanized rubbers.
