Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a seal-material sheet for a solar battery module which includes low-density polyethylene resin as a base material, and has an excellent thermal shrinkage and a good transparency.

The method for manufacturing a seal-material sheet comprises: melting and molding a seal-material composition which includes low-density polyethylene having a density of 0.900 g/cm3 or less, and a crosslinking agent of 0.02 mass% or more and 0.5 mass% or less in the composition; and thereafter irradiating the resultant molding with ionization radiation thereby to perform a cross linking treatment. The seal-material sheet after the cross linking treatment has a gel fraction of 2% or more and 80% or less, and a haze of 4% or below with a thickness of 400 μm.
