CONSTITUTION: A sealing element 1 has an annular shape, and seals the space in a tube fitting between two plastic pipes, and is composed of, for example, rubber having Shore Hardness of 40° to 50°. A sealing element 1 comprises a circular surface 2, a lip 4, and a sealing projection 10, and forms connecting surfaces 20, 22 by end portions 16, 18. A sealing ring has a retainer element 34 to be connected to the connecting surface 22, and is manufactured by arranging the sealing element 1 in a molding space having a molding surface and then by injecting plastic material into the space. A sealing element 1 of the same type has a retainer element 50 to be connected to the connecting surface 20. Thus, two different types of sealing rings can be manufactured.
