Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a seamless tube with a three-roll mandrel mill by which defective pulling-out of a mandrel bar after rolling and occurrence of scratches with the mandrel bar inside tubing are effectively suppressed and which can be durable for practical use.
The ratio of the peripheral inner length of the tubing to the peripheral outer length of the mandrel bar is set in the range of 1.07-1.17 at the final two stands for performing thickening to the tubing among respective stands which comprise the three-roll mandrel mill.
