To provide a manufacturing method of a standing pouch type self-standing bag having the bottom formed in the form of a gusset, which excels in self-standing stability and in adaptability for a filling and sealing machine since the cut planes of the bottom do not stick even if the thickness of the sealant layer of the bag is thick.
The self-standing bag is made in the form of the standing pouch type whose bottom is provided with the gusset portion 4. Each part of the bag is heat sealed, and then when the periphery is trimmed, the horizontal straight-line part 13 is provided in the center part of the lower end part of the gusset portion 4 of the bag bottom, on both sides of it there are provided slant cut parts 14a, 14b that are cut slantingly upward from the inside to the outside. At least the horizontal straight-line part 13 is cut with a thin edge tool or roll cutter whose edge is turn oppositely to the film running direction.
