To provide a method for manufacturing a semifinished product for a ring-shaped holder of a needle roller bearing, which can realize a high dimensional accuracy in cold rolling to eliminate insufficient filling of a steel material into a mold of a molding roll and to prevent cracking of a ring material during molding, whereby a near net shape is attained.
In forming the semifinished product 4 for a ring-shaped holder of a needle roller bearing, the dimension and shape of the semifinished product 4 for the ring-shaped holder after cold rolling and the dimension of a ring material 1 before the cold rolling are designed so as to fall within respective proper ranges, whereby the ring material 1 can be cold rolled to the semifinished product 4 for a holder of a needle roller bearing while eliminating a poor dimensional accuracy caused by insufficient filling of the steel material into a molding roller as the mold of the cold rolling and further preventing cracking of the ring material 1 during cold rolling.
