Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a hollow shaft capable of locally enhancing rigidity of a shaft supporting part to which strong centrifugal force is applied.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a hollow shaft which penetrates a rotor core incorporated into a motor. The shaft comprises: a shaft main body part that is positioned in an intermediate part in an axial direction of the shaft and holds a rotor core; and shaft supporting parts 11s which are positioned at opposite ends of the axial direction of the shaft and are supported by bearings. The manufacturing method includes: a centrifugal casting step of forming the shaft supporting parts by centrifugal casting; and a casting packaging step of positioning the shaft supporting parts formed in the centrifugal casting in a mold, and integrally casting the shaft main body part with the shaft supporting parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
