Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a silicate porous body which is excellent in gas cavity property and strength property, and is capable of manufacturing it at a low cost.
The method for manufacturing the silicate porous body includes a process for making a dispersion out of clay mineral by using a dispersing medium, a process for removing a gas dissolved in the dispersion, freezing the dispersion and drying it on the condition of freezing under reduced pressure, and a process for baking a dried body thereof obtained by drying.
