Abstract:
To provide a siliceous solid catalyst having high mechanical strength and superior catalytic performance.
The method of manufacturing the siliceous solid catalyst includes a kneading step for kneading a mixture of a siliceous solid and a compound containing an alkali earth metal and aluminum, and water. The siliceous solid catalyst is obtained by molding and firing the obtained kneaded body. In the kneading step, the mixture and water are kneaded under the existence of anions forming a water soluble salt with the alkali earth metal and forming a water soluble salt also with the aluminum.
