The method for manufacturing the sintered board for alkali storage batteries is constituted of an applying process; in which the conductive core material 10 is made to pass through inside of a slurry tub 20, and a slurry 21, which consists of the nickel powder, a viscosity bodying agent, and water, is applied to form an applied film on the both sides of the conductive core material 10, a drying process; in which the substrate that is formed of the conductive heart material 10, of which both the sides are formed with applied film, is made to pass through the inside of a drier 40, and dries it to form a dried substrate, a steam spraying process; in which the dried board is made to pass inside of steam generating equipment 50 and steam is splayed on the surface of the dried substrate, and a sintering process: in which the dried substrate splayed with steam is sintered under reduction nature atmosphere in a sintering furnace 60.
