Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently manufacture slurry or pasty slaked lime consisting of slaked lime fine grains having ≤1 μm size, for example.
SOLUTION: The quick lime having ≥95 wt.% purity, ≤(t60) 100 sec activity and ≤35 mm size and the water at 80-95°C are sheared and/or kneaded and mixed under pressure in 1.2-1.8 weight ratio of water to quicklime in stage (a). Water is further added to the pasty slaked lime obtained in stage (a) and agitated to substantially complete a slaking reaction in stage (b).
