Abstract:
To provide an economical method for manufacturing an inexpensive sliding element having a lubricant pocket.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sliding element, which includes: a) a step of providing a band-shaped or strip-shaped first metal metrial 21 of a thickness D1, the first material having perforations 3 extending over an entire thickness of the first material; b) a step of providing a band-shaped or strip-shaped second metal metrial 22 of a thickness D2; c) a step of surface-joining the band-shaped or strip-shaped first metrial to the band-shaped or strip-shaped second metrial by laser roll cladding, so that a band-shaped or strip-shaped composite material 23 is formed, which has a longitudinal direction X and a transverse direction and has a thickness D in a vertical direction with respect to the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction; and d) a step of bending the composite material about an axis oriented parallel to the transverse direction of the composite material, so that a sliding element is formed having cavities 30 in a raceway surface, which are formed at least partially from the perforations of the first material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
