Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor capable of ensuring a high withstand voltage while preventing degradation in leak current characteristics and occurrence of short circuit failure, in a solid electrolytic capacitor using a conductive polymer as a solid electrolyte.

The method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element having a solid electrolyte consisting of an anode body provided with a dielectric coat formed on the surface, and a conductive polymer, includes the steps of: forming a capacitor element having an anode body provided with a dielectric coat formed on the surface; preparing a polymerization solution A containing any one of a precursor monomer of a conductive polymer or an oxidant and a silane compound; preparing a polymerization solution B by adding the other (the monomer or the oxidant not contained in the polymerization solution A) to the polymerization solution A; and impregnating the capacitor element with the polymerization solution B before polymerization.
