There is provided a method of manufacturing a spectacle lens having a coating film on a lens surface, including application of coating liquid to an applied surface 11 of a lens base material by a spin coating method. The applied surface 11 includes a lens effective surface 110 and a flange surface 111 surrounding the effective surface which are formed as a continuous surface, and the flange surface is removed after the application.
