Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a steel sheet controlled in residual stress to the prescribed quality standard value or below.
SOLUTION: The residual stress is computed by a computer 7 from the surface temperature of the steel sheet measured by a thermometer 5 and the computed residual stress is interpolated by quantitatively measuring a change in the installation state of a hot leveler 3 by a sensor 4 and the residual stress of the steel sheet after hot leveling by the hot leveler 3 is predicted. Normal/ defective conditions are decided by comparing the predicted value and the quality standard value and the defective products are subjected to cold leveling by a roller leveler 9. The change in the leveling conditions of the roller leveler 9 is quantitatively measured by a sensor 10 and the residual stress of the steel sheet after cold leveling by the cold leveler is predicted, then the normal/ defective conditions are decided by comparing the predicted value and the quality standard value.
