In the manufacturing method of the steel sheet by which a base stock is rolled into a rough shape material with a break down mill having a pair of horizontal rolls for break down mills and, next, the rough shape material is made into the steel sheet with the universal mill having a pair of nondriven vertical rolls and a pair of driven horizontal rolls for universal mills and a horizontal mill having a pair of horizontal rolls for horizontal mills, the rough shape material is formed so as to be a middle part projecting shape in which the middle part in the width direction is projected as compared with the side parts in the width direction in the planar shape of both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the rough shape material.
