Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a tantalum carbide light bulb having a tantalum carbide filament capable of preventing damage, such as disconnection.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a tantalum carbide light bulb comprises: a preliminary carburization step 101 of incompletely carburizing a tantalum filament by putting the tantalum filament into a vacuum carburizing furnace and heating it by a heater under an atmosphere of hydrocarbon containing gas to obtain a tantalum carbide filament; a filament brazing connecting/fixing step 102 of fixing the tantalum carbide filament to the lead wire of a stem by brazing; a bulb sealing/fixing step 103 of sealing/fixing the bulb in the stem; a complete carburization step 104 of completely carburizing the tantalum carbide filament by energizing and heating the filament under an atmosphere of hydrocarbon containing gas; and a hermetic seal step 105 of hermetically sealing the bulb by hydrogen containing inert gas.
