To provide a thermal power generator where a heater, a thermal power generating element, and a cooler can be set up without being fastened, and a method of manufacturing the thermal power generator.
An exhaust heat power generator 10 is constituted by pinching a thermal power generating element 24 which generates an electromotive force by the temperature difference between a high temperature side and a low temperature side and a heat exchanger 22 on a low temperature side which contacts with the low temperature side of the thermal heat generating element 24 between a fastening band 56 which is in no-contact with a heat exchanger 12 on the high temperature side in contact with the high temperature side of the thermal power generating element 24 and the heat exchanger 12 on the high temperature side. The heat exchanger 22 on the low temperature side is temporarily held by the heat exchanger 12 on the high temperature side with a screw 72 for temporary fixing screwed in a tapped hole 70 for the temporary fixing of the heat exchanger 12 on the high temperature side before being held by the heat exchanger 12 on the high temperature side by the fastening band 56.
