Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing thin blade cutting grinding wheel capable of avoiding a deformation in the manufacturing process.

The periphery and reverse side of a primary stainless steel base 1 is covered with a primary shielding tape 2, and a primary composite plating layer 3 is formed on the exposed part of the primary stainless steel base. A primary copper plating layer 4 is formed on the surface of the primary composite plating layer. The primary stainless steel base 1 is peeled from the primary composite plating layer 3. A secondary stainless steel base 5 is closely fitted to the primary copper plating layer 4, and the part other than the peeled surface of the primary composite plating layer 3 is covered with a secondary shielding tape 6. A secondary composite plating layer 3' is formed on the peeled surface of the primary composite plating layer 3. The surface of the secondary composite plating layer 3' is subjected to resist treatment, and exposed parts 8 and 9 are dissolved to trim a doughnut shape. A secondary copper plating layer 10 is generated on the surface of the secondary composite plating layer 3'. The primary and secondary copper plating layers 4 and 10 are dissolved, whereby a thin blade grinding wheel is completed.
