To provide a method for manufacturing for manufacturing a toner at short times with a high yield, a toner of a good film state where resin fine particles are uniformly made like a film on the surfaces of toner base particles, and to provide toner manufactured by the manufacturing method, a developer containing the toner, a developing device using the developer, and an image forming apparatus.
The method for manufacturing the toner includes: a resin fine particle sticking process; a spray process; and a filming process. In the spray process, a first spray means sprays spray liquid. In a period since the beginning of the spray and until additional spray time T1 establishing equation (1) 0.2τ≤T1≤τ(τ=V/Fair), a second spray means additionally sprays spray liquid of an amount of additional gas volume amount K establishing equation (2) 0.6κ≤K≤1.6κ(κ=(Fin/Fair)×V) into a powder channel. Here, Fin is gas volume flow, Fair indicates air volume flow of the air discharged out of the powder channel, and V is volume of the inside of the powder channel.
