By using a press having a main ram 4, a sub-ram 5 and a cushion 6, a punching die 9 which is engaged with a punching punch 7 is attached to a base below a bottomless die 8 by attaching the punching punch 7 which is coincided with the shape of an inside diameter of a cup-shaped formed article B is attached to the main ram 4 and the bottomless die 8 which is coincided with the shape of the outside diameter of the cup-shaped formed article B to a cushion 6. The cup-shaped formed article B is set to the bottomless die 8 upwardly by attaching a pressing ring 10 for pressing the bottomless die 8 to the sub-ram 5. The punching punch 7 is pushed into the cup-shaped formed article B and also the bottomless die 8 is held down with the pressing ring 10 and pressed against the punching punch 9 by lowering the main ram 4 and the sub-ram 5, and the tubular member C is manufactured by a manner that the bottom part of the cup of the cup-shaped formed article B is punched by the engagement of the punching punch 7 and the punching die 9 by further lowering the main ram 4.
