Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing tungsten stock for secondary working in which brittleness can be less increased even when the stock is subjected to a secondary working step such as coiling, disconnection or breakage is less and durability is excellent even when bending, compression, torsion, tensile stresses, or the like are applied in the secondary working step, and the yield in the secondary working can be improved considerably.
SOLUTION: The tungsten workpiece for secondary working consists mainly of tungsten (W), and is worked into a product through the secondary working step such as a coiling. Sintered tungsten body is rotary-hammered/wire-drawn to prepare tungsten workpiece. The mean space (Sm) of unevenness of a roughness curve with one third of the diameter of the tungsten stock as a reference is set to be ≥√D/5, and a space (Ry) between a ridge line and a valley bottom line of the roughness curve is set to be ≤D/50.
