Abstract:
To provide a method of conveniently manufacturing a vacuum insulating material core with its fibers oriented perpendicular to a heat transfer direction and its surface smooth and superior in heat insulation.
The method of manufacturing the vacuum insulating material core comprises heating and molding an inorganic fiber mat on which an uncured thermosetting organic binder is deposited while applying pressure thereto for 30 seconds until its density attains 150-400 kg/m3.
