Abstract:

To reduce a machining cost while keeping concentrical accuracy of cylindrical parts and ball spline groove parts of an inner-diameter part and a functional face, and to machine the functional face without damaging the ball spline groove parts.

This manufacturing method of the variator part 15a of the continuously variable transmission wherein cylindrical parts 52 and the ball spline groove parts 51 are alternately formed in the inner-diameter part 50, includes a process for simultaneously finishing the cylindrical parts 52 and the ball spline groove parts 51 by using a hard broach tool 60, and a process for finishing the functional face 18 formed on a side face of the variator part 15a while applying the cylindrical parts 52 as machining standard.
