To provide a method for manufacturing a vulcanized belt sleeve capable of manufacturing of a sleeve having high adhesiveness between rubber layers regardless of the circumference.
The method of manufacturing a vulcanized belt sleeve includes:a first process of winding an unvulcanized rubber sheet for formation of the back-surface rubber layer 3, a core wire 4 and an unvulcanized rubber sheet for formation of a compressed rubber layer 2, in order, around the first inner mold to form a belt sleeve 10 and to remove the belt sleeve 10 from a first inner mold; a second process of inserting the belt sleeve 10 into the outer mold 50 having a rib groove 50a in the inner peripheral surface and arranging the second inner mold 51 whose outer diameter can be enlarged and reduced inside the belt sleeve 10; and a third process of enlarging the outer diameter of the second inner mold 51, pressing the belt sleeve 10 toward the heated outer mold 50 to heat and pressurize the belt sleeve 10 so as to vulcanize and form a rib portion corresponding to the rib groove 50a in the outer peripheral surface of the belt sleeve 10.
