A method for manufacturing the water-repellent-treated article having the water-repellent surface stuck with a water-repellent resin on a resin comprises a process of dissolving a water-repellent resin 3, which is not compatible with an underlayer resin 2 and has larger solubility in a specified solvent than the underlayer resin, into such a solvent that has solubility in both the underlayer resin 2 and the water-repellent resin 3, and applying a resultant solution; a process of curing after coating; and a process of partially dissolving the surface of the water-repellent resin 3 using the specified solvent after curing. At least one of the underlayer resin and the water-repellant resin is a thermosetting resin or a photo-curable resin.
