A method for manufacturing a wavelength conversion component supplies a phosphor-containing liquid resin composition from a container which contains no metal in a portion brought into contact with the liquid resin composition, to a mold. Preferably, the phosphor-containing liquid resin composition to be used as a raw material is prevented from coming into contact with a metal before supply to the mold. A method for transporting a phosphor-containing liquid resin composition uses a container which contains no metal in a portion brought into contact with the phosphor-containing liquid resin composition.
