The method of manufacturing the wearable article comprises a body setting process in which one end of an absorber C in the vertical direction Y is jointed to a first base metal and the other end is jointed to a second base metal when the belt-shaped first and second base metals are parallel with the longitudinal direction of the belt in the feeding direction X, and a cutting process in which the base metals to which the absorber C is jointed are cut for each wearable article by cutting the back-side body piece 1 and the abdomen-side body piece 2, which composes the body of the wearable article with the back-side body piece as a pair and which is shorter than the back-side body piece 1, from the base metals in a pair. In the method of manufacturing the wearable article, loosened parts W1 and W2 are formed in the first base metal to eliminate the relative difference of the belt length in the feeding direction X between the back-side body piece 1 and the abdomen-side body piece 2.
