Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing a wheel disk for an automobile which can achieve, compared to a conventional method, at least one of the following: reduction in waving of a disk flange, suppression of a galling phenomenon with a rim when the disk flange is fitted to the rim, and improvement of adhesion to the rim when the disk flange is fitted to the rim.

The method of manufacturing the wheel disk for the automobile includes: (a) a first step of obtaining a first material 30 by opening a hole 30a as a decorative hole 15 in a flat disk-like material; (b) a second step of obtaining a second material 31 having the disk flange 14 by press-drawing the first material 30; and (c) a third step of ironing the disk flange 14 by use of a punch 32 and a die 33 having a punch-opposed surface 33a and a stopper part 33b for holding one end in the disk axial direction of the disk flange 14 to correct the waving in the disk axial direction of the disk flange 14.
