PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a wheel rim efficiently, which has a humped portion and a curled portion formed in high accuracy and has a highly accurate positional relation between the curled portion and the humped portion.
SOLUTION: The wheel rim 10 is manufactured in a process comprising step A in which a platy workpiece W is curved and both ends of the workpiece W are abutted each other, step B in which a cylindrical body 12 is formed by joining the abutted ends of the workpiece W, step C in which the joined portion 46 of the cylindrical body 12 is inspected, step D in which a recess 16 is formed in the outer circumferential wall 14 of the cylindrical body 12 by caving the outer circumferential wall 14 toward the inner circumferential wall 15 of the cylindrical body 12, step E in which the curled portion 18 is formed by folding both edges of the cylindrical body 12, step F in which the humped portion 20 is formed by raising the outer circumferential wall 14, with the cylindrical body 12 pressed from the side of the inner circumferential wall 15, and step G in which a valve hole 22 and a drain hole 24 are formed in the recess 16 and the curled portion 18.
