To provide a method of manufacturing a wire conductor, wherein the method can stably manufacture the wire conductor superior in strength, elongation, and bending performance.
The method of manufacturing the wire conductor includes: a cold working step S3 of cold-working a copper wire material composed of copper alloy which contains Co of 0.12 wt.% or more and 0.32 wt.% or less, P of 0.042 wt.% or more and 0.095 wt.% or less, and Sn of 0.005 wt.% or more and 0.70 wt.% or less, has a relationship of 3.0≤([Co]-0.007)/([P]-0.008)≤6.2 between the Co content [Co] wt.% and the P content [P] wt.%, and is composed of the balance comprising Cu and inevitable impurities; a twisted wire working step S4 in which a plurality of copper element wires are twisted and a copper twisted wire is formed; and the final heat-treating step S6 in which against the copper element wires or the copper twisted wire, a heat treating is carried out at 200°C or more and 400°C or less, for 60 minutes or more and 500 minutes or less.
