To provide a method for manufacturing a zinc oxide powder by recycling a zinc-containing waste acid.
The method for manufacturing the zinc oxide powder by recycling the zinc-containing waste acid comprises: a step of recovering the zinc-containing waste acid; a step of adding an organic solvent to the zinc-containing waste acid and extracting zinc by the organic solvent; a step of adding an acid to a zinc-containing organic solution obtained by the extraction so as to conduct back extraction of zinc; a step of adding an alkali to a zinc-containing acid solution obtained by the back extraction and reacting the same so as to form a zinc precipitate; a step of selectively separating, washing and drying the zinc precipitate; and a step of calcining the dried zinc precipitate so as to obtain zinc oxide. The method enables recycling of the zinc-containing waste acid used in a step for regenerating an indium-tin oxide or indium-zinc oxide scrap, thereby preventing environmental pollution and saving resources while manufacturing zinc oxide by effectively purifying waste acid containing impurities at a low process cost within a short period of time.
